1930’s Antique Genuine Monitor Lizard-Skin Clutch

This lovely monitor lizard skin clutch is truly a rare product of its time! Made in the 1930’s—the Deco era—during which the production of purses & clutches made of exotic reptile leather was in its hey-day among the elite. This clutch is an impressive relic of that era, and is in fantastic shape considering its age! Truly the only wear or flaws can be seen in a.)the edging, surrounding the perimeter of the clutch, as it would have been made of a type of polymer paint, and it has mostly worn away over time and b.) in the interior, as it has suffered some slight fading and staining over the years, but surprisingly no rips or tears! Both of these flaws are minor and do not in any way affect the beauty or utility of this lovely little clutch. Both noted flaws can be seen adequately reflected in these photographs, but I am always happy to provide more photos upon request!

I love the detail of the loop on the backside of the clutch, as it would be perfect to allow it to slide through a belt to be worn upon your hip for ease of carry!
